Updating a deal's stage directly from the deal record is the fastest way to move a single deal forward without switching back to the board view.
How to change the stage
Open the deal by clicking its name from the Deals board or from search.
At the top of the deal record, find the Deal Stage field.
Click the stage name to open the dropdown.
Select the new stage.
The stage updates immediately — no separate save step required.
Practical example
You just wrapped a proposal call with a client. Open their deal record, click the Stage field at the top, and move it from Proposal Sent to Contract Negotiation. The board updates instantly for everyone on your team.
Things to know
When you move a deal to Closed Won or Closed Lost, Recruiterflow will prompt you to select a close reason. These reasons are configured by your Admin in CRM Settings.
Stage changes are visible to all teammates with access to that deal immediately.
To move multiple deals at once, use drag-and-drop directly on the Deals board — it's faster for bulk updates.
Stage changes are logged on the deal's activity timeline with the user and timestamp.
