How can hiring managers send candidate feedback on the 'Pitch Candidates' link?

What hiring managers can do on a Pitch Candidates link — Like, Drop, or Comment — and how each response flows back to you as an email, notification, and logged activity.

This is for recruiters who've shared a Pitch Candidates link with a hiring manager and want to know what feedback the manager can send back — and what lands on your side when they do.

What the hiring manager sees

When you share a Pitch Candidates link with your contacts inside Recruiterflow, each hiring manager gets their own private email with the link. Recipients never see who else received it.

Opening the link takes the manager to your curated candidate list. The difference from a plain link is the Action column, which gives them three buttons on every candidate:

  • Like — they want to move the candidate forward.

  • Drop — they want to reject the candidate.

  • Comment — they want to ask a question, request more detail, or leave a note for you.

When a manager Likes a candidate

Clicking Like opens a short window where the manager picks what should happen next and can leave you a comment.

The Next Step field is mandatory. Recruiterflow ships with four default options, and an Admin can change or add to these under CRM Settings.

Once the manager picks a next step and clicks Save, you get an email with their response — including any comment they added.

When a manager Drops a candidate

Dropping is a single click. There's no follow-up window — the manager hits Drop and you're notified with their response.

What happens on your side

Every Like or Drop reaches you three ways, so nothing slips through:

  • An email with the manager's response and any comment.

  • A notification inside Recruiterflow.

  • A logged activity on both the candidate profile and the contact profile.

Example

You pitch five candidates to a hiring manager at a client. She Likes two — setting the Next Step to "Schedule interview" on one and leaving a comment asking for salary expectations on the other — and Drops the rest. You get an email and an in-app notification for each, the next steps are captured against the candidates, and her comment is logged on both the candidate and her contact profile. No back-and-forth needed to find out where she stands.

Things to know

  • This feedback loop only works when you share the link with contacts inside Recruiterflow. A plain copied link lets managers view candidates but not act on them.

  • The Next Step options are customizable, but only an Admin can edit them in CRM Settings — changes apply workspace-wide.

  • Each manager's email is sent separately, so recipients can't see one another.
