A few behaviors of the Duplicate Companies Detection Agent are by design, not bugs — worth knowing upfront so nothing catches you off guard.
Limit or behavior | What happens |
One run per 24 hours | You can trigger the agent at most once every 24 hours per account. Run now is disabled and shows the next available time until the window passes. |
Runs can't be cancelled | Once you click Run now, the scan runs to completion. There's no way to stop it partway through. |
No undo after merging | Merging uses Recruiterflow's standard company merge, which is final. Both single and bulk merges require a double confirmation step precisely because there's no reversal afterward. |
Dismissed pairs stay dismissed | Once you dismiss a specific duplicate pair, Recruiterflow won't suggest that exact pair again in future scans — even if you run the agent weekly. |
Matches below 90% aren't shown | The agent only surfaces pairs it's at least 90% confident about. Weaker possible matches are never displayed. |
Companies only | This agent only detects duplicate company records. It doesn't check for duplicate candidates or duplicate contacts — see Merging Duplicate Candidate Profiles for that workflow. |
No scheduling | Every run is manually triggered by an admin. There's currently no way to schedule automatic recurring scans. |
