Adding an Unsubscribe Link to Your Campaign Emails

How to add unsubscribe link to your campaign emails?

Written by Umme Saira

Adding an unsubscribe link to your campaign emails keeps you compliant and gives recipients a clear way to opt out. This is an Admin-only, workspace-wide setting — once enabled, all campaign emails sent from your account will include the link.

Step 1: Enable the unsubscribe link

  1. Go to Settings > General Settings (or navigate to https://recruiterflow.com/settings#automation-settings) and scroll down to Campaign Configurations.

  2. Check the box labeled "Enable unsubscribe footer in email campaigns."

  3. Click Save Campaign Settings

Step 2: Customize the unsubscribe message

  1. After checking the box, a text editor appears where you can edit the footer message that recipients will see

  2. Click Insert Unsubscribe to add the clickable unsubscribe link into the message — it appears as "Click here" by default

  3. To change the link text, select it and click the link icon in the editor toolbar

  4. Enter your preferred display text (e.g., "Unsubscribe from these emails") and click Save

  5. Click Save Campaign Settings to apply your changes

Example

Your agency sends weekly job alert sequences to passive candidates. You enable the unsubscribe link in Campaign Settings and change the display text to "Remove me from these emails." Now every campaign email your team sends includes a clear opt-out — and when a candidate clicks it, Recruiterflow automatically marks them as unsubscribed so they're excluded from future sequences.

Things to know

  • Only Admins can enable or change this setting. It applies workspace-wide — all teammates' campaign emails will include the unsubscribe link once it's on.

  • When a recipient clicks the unsubscribe link, their status updates automatically in Recruiterflow, and they're excluded from all future sequence emails.

  • Unsubscribed contacts can be resubscribed manually from their profile if they later re-consent to receiving emails.
