Finding your strongest candidates in a large database is hard if there's no quick way to flag them. Candidate Rating solves that: mark your best people with a star rating, then filter your whole database down to just those candidates whenever you need them.
Rate a candidate
You can set a rating in two places:
On the candidate profile — click the stars near the top of the profile.
On the candidates table — set the rating directly from the rating column without opening the profile.
We recommend reserving 4-star and 5-star for your genuine top candidates, so the ratings stay meaningful when you filter later.
Find your top candidates
Go to Advanced Search and add the Candidate Rating filter. Set the value to 4-star or 5-star to pull up every top candidate you or your team has marked.
Example
You're working three similar software-engineering roles. As you screen, you star the standouts 5-star. When a fourth, near-identical role lands, you don't start from scratch — open Advanced Search, filter by Candidate Rating = 5-star, and you instantly have a shortlist of proven strong candidates to reach out to first.
Things to know
Ratings are shared across your team, so the Candidate Rating filter surfaces candidates anyone has marked — not just your own. Agree on what each star level means so ratings stay consistent.
A candidate's rating isn't tied to a specific job; it travels with the candidate across every role they're considered for.
You can combine the Candidate Rating filter with other Advanced Search filters (skills, location, source) to narrow a shortlist even further.
